Picked up the NEC 3540. Nice thing about this drive is that it overburns Verbatim 2.4 DL DVDR+ media at 8x!!! Also supports DVD-R DL at 6x.

Cool! :) I always like getting new stuff. I find the best part is opening the box and taking everything out :P

Doesn't matter how old you get, it's always like a kid at Christmas.... gotta rip it open and see what's inside :D:D

Of course it might have been fun as you describe, but this was an OEM drive, so no box.
