just installed vice city and the scene spins around so badly it is disorienating and impossible to direct the poor guy anywhere on foot. if he's on a bike or in a car it's ok the scene is still and you can ride/drive, but once you get out again, the spinning starts again. moving the mouse around conteracts the spinning, but not enough to properly function. i have only played this once before on a neighbour's xbox and don't remember this occurring. it's like the look left button is stuck or something (but it's not). is this a defective cd or is it a setting i must change or a patch i must download? any help??? :)

what are you using the control the game? do you have a joystick connected?
what are you using the control the game? do you have a joystick connected?
Thats what i would ask. I had one connected while playing the game the first time and had the same problem , then i realized my gamepad was causing it to keep rotating because it wasnt calibrated so i disconnected it and then the game was fine.

Calibrate joystick before starting the game
To calibrate a game controller
- Open Game Controllers in Control Panel.
- Under Installed game controllers, click the controller you want to calibrate, and then click Properties.
- On the Settings tab, click Calibrate, and then follow the instructions on your screen.

I had the same problem, It was with the logitech wingman usb controller, i found out that the little slider near the R button, if its set in the middle it will stop it, or just simply unplug the controller if you dont need it.
