My Step Father shared his love of King Kong with us when I Was a wee Lad of 14.
And after Seeing this newest remake (Or re told Classic) .. I give it a 8 out of 10.
A tad long but , that is because we have grown impatient.. and the longer looks were the way the older actors in the 30's showed emotion.
It was and is a great Love story ... and I am so glad the love of the King Kong movie has been shared with even more people (Cause ask your self when was the last time you watched a Black and White Flick ???)
It will be a DVD collection for sure.

I can't push myself to go sit in an uncomfortable theatre for 3hrs straight. It's nothing against the movie, I just hate today's theatre experience and can't see myself being in there for over 3 hours.
I'll wait for the DVD.

The last movie I saw at the theatre was the 3rd Lord Of The Rings. Someone in the audience (it was a packed room) kept running a damn laser pen on the screen every 10 mins or so. Twice the theatre employees sneaked into the room in hope of catching that person, but they never did. And I don't know what that person behind me was doing with his bag of chips, but he kept playing fidgiting with that bag through out the whole movie.
Ever since I built my own theatre room in the basement, everything I hate about commercial theatres is amplified whenever I go there. And I can't have beer with my movie at the theatre!!! ;)

Agreed with everyone but Les. The Theatre is torture now. $13 plus to sit in a decent theatre.. $24 for 2 people to have popcorn and a pop. Ouch. To top it off, last movie I saw was infact last weekend, King Kong. What a load. Wow. I wanted to see it. Nobody else notice that Kong went from MONSTER size to a large Gorilla? I walked out after hour 2 from bordom. And the effects? Isn't this 2005/06? The skipping and jagged edges were less convincing that the original Jurrasic Park from 1993. Pathetic.
