formatting computer

hey,

im want to completey format my c drive (i have 2 hard drives c and f) but everytime i "think" im doin it, everythin doesnt get clear off. I think its because i only do i clean install of windows. while its installing it says that it will format the c, but when its done i still have all the files. Is there a way i can format my c drive completey and have windows installed on it so its clean (im having a problem with spyware so im starting over and preparing myself before hand).

try to run fdisk

if you "install" windows it will format the drive if you select that option.
but it also installs all the operating system files to the drive.
these files should be a clean new install and they are the files your seeing.
if for some reason you feel files you do not want are staying on the drive.
then go with Dbusguy suggestion. but be warned using fdisk will destroy
all data on the drive and any partitions you may have created.
before doing any thing back up any important files..
