Reunited And It Feels So Good

It was brand new when it was stolen and once it was returned it was a vintage.

It was nearly 40 years ago Alan Poster’s 1968 Corvette was stolen from a public parking lot in New York City and he says it’s a “miracle” that he got his baby back after it was recently spotted in a shipping container bound for Norway.

Officers discovered it during a customs check and it took authorities a few months to track Poster down because he now lives in North Carolina.

Nobody knows where the car’s been for the last four decades and Poster’s ecstatic to have it back – he says it’s the last car he really loved.

If he hasn’t already experienced a mid-life crisis, this discovery may do the trick.

he had a long wait to get his car back. :d

Thats a neat story, and after all these years he got it back. My brother was telling me someone stole his truck, and when they found it ...the tires were gone, transmission, and the engine were all stripped

His insurance company bought him a new truck.

the last new car my parents purchased was stolen not half a year after they got it, needless to say i have been driving around in used cars ever since. I dont mind but the fact that they were happy in cars that havent heard of power anything was annoying. do you know how hard it is to find cassette tapes with good music on it. lol, all kidding aside its good to hear of someone getting theres back and it must have been a really neat surprise too

Hot Wheels

Phillip McKeen describes his recent lucky day thusly, “It’s as if a friend you hadn’t seen for 30 years walked back into your life but hadn’t aged a day.”

The New England man isn’t talking about a person, though, but a vehicle. He was reunited with the 1970 Yamaha motorcycle stolen from him in 1971. The vehicle identification number turned up in the database of the National Insurance Crime Bureau and cops in California were able to track it down.

Luckily for McKeen, they found it in time. The 360 CC bike was about to be shipped overseas to a Finnish man who bought it for $1,700 in an online auction. Police don’t think the buyer or the seller committed the theft in the first place, so whoever did remains a mystery for now.

But that doesn’t seem to bother McKeen, who’s just happy to have his wheels back.

And lucky for him, now the bike’s probably so retro it’s cool again.

That's a great story, the car is probably worth a lot more now than what he originally paid.
