Bell idea of fixing my line turns out to be sending me a new modem.

This now being the third and i am thinking of starting my own bell store soon.

Now if the first two modems should a snr this bad what are the odds that this one is going to be any different...lol.

Atleast its staying conected most of the time (cross fingers) and the speeds always stable when its online.

I'm still ahead.

At one time I had 2 5200's, and 2 5242's.

It's just to shut us up.

They can't be bothered to find, let alone fix, the problem.

Rogers is the same way.....they replaced this modem 5 times before they realised it was congestion that was the problem a year ago in this area ....now its working fine, ( when I had Bell here it was terriable) If Rogers messes up again I swear I will get dialup

only kidding lol

If it's the SNR then the problem is your house wiring, you should have it looked at.

Aleast bell is giveing modems with rogers you had to sign over your first born and soul.

As for house wireing the answer is no as it a month old cat5e and there only two phones.

Not the phones either since it behaves the same way without them and the jacks are the right polarity.

Just to be sure though we tested it at the demarc and its the same there without phones or house wireing in the mix.
