That's one reason Kelisis. Another one would be so that the Big 3 can start producing more efficient engines.
The other reason is hearing people complain.
If anybody asks, I drive a 4-cylinder Alero, and on my trip from/to London/Kitchener I hit the red line at least 5 times. So I could care less. In the future I will have a V8 and I still won't care.

True AMD, places such as england pay more in gas premiums then we do, however a wrong is still a wrong - just different levels of it.
Gas prices are silly these days (always have been - but more so now)..
I think it's hilarious, when you go for gas on a monday night for example, and it is .10c cheaper then during the days / week..
But what can you do? nothing for now.. But hopefully one day we will de-throne those with absolute power (oil companies) and do what we have the technology in doing - create all cars with alternative resources; such as the hybrid type of idea.

I paid $0.98 the other day. I ride a motorcycle though, so it dosn't really make a difference.

Well, get used to it because they are only going to go up. I don't think they're unreasonable - the cheap stuff is gone, and what's left of unrenewable resources should come at a cost. We have the technology to produce much more efficient cars anyway.
Driving is a huge privilege, not a right. Most people don't have that opportunity.

They love playing games. meh
That's all i'm going to say since this is not the appropriate forum or thread.

I loved the gas song.... LOL....It is crazy... On my way to work it's 98.5. . On my way home it's 85.5.. If I go out late and pass a gas station, it's 75.5.
Huh? I did hear some places are actually paying $2.00 or more.. I think before christmas comes, it will hit the dollar mark for us....

I don't think you will see $1.00 prices until the gas stations are able to both display the extra figure, and their gas pumps to handle the extra figure (example: 1.01.7 per litre instead of 98.9)
Have you noticed how many major-brand gas stations are being rebuilt and "modernized" - and some are not that old? New pumps, new signs, etc.? It will be a nightmare for smaller stations that are independently owned. Remember GST kicking in? The cost to retailers was enormous.
Ummmm ... cost justification for higher prices ...:tch:

I was up in Huntsville on July 15th and paid 98.9 for regular unleaded. Now that really hurt as my truck has a big tank.

Every time I go by a gas station they are doing some kind of "rebuilding" One of our Petro Canada stations was completely demolished, to make the station more user friendly... more stations, more pumps, cleaner washrooms.? They have to be able to pay for it somehow eh??
