I have several MPEG movies I want to put onto CD(s) so I can play them on my DVD player. I would have used a DVD but only my laptop has a DVD burner and I have no blank DVD disks. What do I need to do with the MPEG videos to make them playable? My DVD player says it supports "VCD and SVCD". Do I need to convert them and then burn them normally or is there a program I can use (buy :) ) to do convert and burn them for me?

Thanks

First do a test burn as most dvd players will read raw mpg files.
If this doesn't work you can use nero to make a svcd.

If they are MPEG1 then you can burn them directly onto a cd, if they are MPEG2, then you will need to burn them onto a dvd.

How can you tell if they are mpeg1 or mpeg2?
