difference between Rogers express and Lite?

I currently have Rogers express and want to switch to the Lite package...is there a huge difference in speed for these packages?

I know Express is about 3mb download and 384kbps upload and Lite is 1.0mb download and 128kbps upload

I mainly use the net for surfing and sometimes downloading. I also have an internal network going with a couple computers...would there be a big difference in speed in terms of browsing?

Rogers Lite users, please feel free to comment on the service, especially those that have a network setup and share an internet connection.

Remember its up to 1.0mb, I went down to lite for awhile and am now back to express. Downloading takes forever as do sites with lots of pictures. General surfing wasn't to bad. Torrents were awful it would take a week to d/l a game or movie

I have Rogers express (Same as Taz) and it works fine for me if you go to the 1mb teir package with your network as you have mentioned you'll notice quite a difference when your downloading, general surfing and e-mail should be fine

personally I wouldnt want to go any slower then 3mbs thats just fine for me.

The problem with changing back , is you soon realise what you are missing,
If you never had the high speed you would not miss it...

I have Lite Edition... after having used Express for years.

At first it waas 1/4 of the speed it is now... and it was tough getting used to it...
But now that it's up to 1Mb service, it's allot better than back then.

Normal surfing you don't notice any difference any more... D/Ls are 1/3 the speed of Express... slower, but if you don't D/L allot you can get used to it.

I D/L torrents all the time, even when it was slower, and although it takes longer, it's not that bad.
When you thing about the $10 a month that you save, it's not hard to take ;)
