for those who have been thinking Day of defeat source is not worth the money then you will get your chance from Feb 10th to the 12th

Sweet, I've been wanting to play this game for awhile now but steam doesn't allow paypal accounts. DOD was the best mod and I still play it from time to time but this is great news since I'll have my new x800pro by then to play this with. Can you pick this up in the stores?

you can pick this game up in stores , i think they have a stand alone pack if not it's avalible with Cs:source for i think 20 bucks

any one who wants to try the game i would start preloading now.

steam://install/300

copy and past the link above into your adress bar with running and then the preload should begin

steam should be installed and running before that will work , just to make sure do it in IE

if that still does not work then the link in my first post also has the first option to pre-load

dod source is OK.. i really like cod:2 more, gameplays better, but dod source is fun too!!

Gah, everytime I goto preload steam freezes on me..I'll have to try reinstalling steam.

I did the preload. It took quite a long time.

does this mean we download the game for free, and will always be able to play it, even after the date? or is it only free for this weekend, and it will then cost us money to keep on playing? it didnt show on the link.

The game is pretty good. It has quite a bit of change from the original. The guns all feel different now. The grenade launcher is pretty fun too.
