Emailing a Hotmail account with a Blackberry

My sister recently bought herself a Blackberry through Rogers. When she tries to send email from her Blackberry to my Hotmail account the email never arrives. On the other hand I can email from my Hotmail account to her Blackberry just fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Is Hotmail blocking incoming Blackberry traffic or something?

It should work. There is no reason why there would be a blockage. I could send from my BlackBerry to my hotmail account using the BlackBerry Internet Service account. My BlackBerry is also using a Rogers data plan.

Edit: Make sure the BlackBerry.com (.net) domain isn't blocked on your hotmail account. This is a common problem since a lot of emails come from this address and even ones that look like SPAM but really aren't. I'm pretty sure it is blocked in your hotmail account.

This might sound odd but. are you using the wap browser to log into hotmail or are you using outlook?

Also what is her data usage.. perhaps she has maxed out her monthly usage.

Hmmmm, seems to be working now. She is able to send email from her BlackBerry to my Hotmail address. Perhaps my sister just got my email address wrong?

Perhaps. Depends which kind of BlackBerry she has ;).
