Default Anyone heard of MSI Laptop?

Hey, Has anyone heard of this brand of computers? If so, can you please share some info about the quality? Thanks.

I have seen them before, MSI is more known for their Motherboards then laptops.

As for quality when it comes to laptops manufactures they are generally similar from what I have seen. I have also noticed you get what you pay for, so if you buy a $450 laptop it is generally a cheaper quality laptop when compared to say a $1,000 laptop

Maybe post the laptop you are thinking of getting or even a price range and we can suggest some other ones you may not of thought about.

Thank you guys. Sickcars - the one I was thinking of was the MSI T4300. Of course price is an issue, but the one I am currently using is an Acer Aspire 9410 which I got for about $1000 just over a year ago and the LCD split from the side! So Acer is OUT, out, out! I have used Toshiba before and they have been ok. So my theory now is perhaps getting a cheaper one, but a good one(?), is better than paying so much more and it goes out in a year. Right? What are ur suggestions. And thanks again.

Well I would not take acer out of the picture, they do make some good laptops. I personally have an Acer thats 3 years old and have not had any issues with it. Its just luck, thats the way I see it. I have seen problems with IBM/Acer/HP/Toshiba etc etc

1 company that I have seen that seems to be good is Asus, if you can get a laptop made from them they are supposed to be one of the best, & I think they may come with 2 year warranty actually on some models unless they have changed it.

    Here are some suggestions,

    Asus - Cheap Cost

    LG - Good Specs

    Gateway - Good Specs

I think for the price the LG & Gateway laptops I posted above are very good deals. If you wanted to you could get extra warranty to be covered just in case.

    Are Lenovo better laptops?

I'd buy a Lenovo over all laptop manufacturers mentioned in this thread. Except maybe Asus. Depends on the configuration.

Well Lenovo used to be IBM laptops But ever since the change over Quality has slipped slightly. They are still good but not as good as the original IBM laptops.
