Still Fighting Windows 7

We have an Eye-Fi camera that wirelessly transfers recent pictures taken, on to our desktop computer. At least it did when we were running Windows XP. After chatting with the Eye-Fi help guy, I got the software installed on the W7 computer to do the job. However I put it in my account, and it really should work in my wife's account since she is the photographer. So how do I get a program that works in my Account, to also work in her account? I have 4.5 inches of help books on W7 and can't find the answer.

Normally program installers will ask if you want to install for the current user or all users. If it didn't, while logged into your wife's account, you can browse through Windows Explorer to the install location of the software and attempt to run the executable file. If it works, you just need to create a shortcut on her desktop. If it doesn't, just run the installation while logged in to her account and install to the exact same location. It will create its associations for her account.

Thanks Mindcore. I have now installed the setup program while in my wife's Win7 account. Now when I try to run Eye-Fi Win7 insists on doing some firewall tuning. It can't find the incoming connection so it asks me to retry, which cycles for ever. So I cancel and Eye-Fi shuts down. I will give Eye-Fi help a call and see if they know a way around this road block. Thanks again for the help.

I had to turn off Win7 Firewall, and uninstall AVG, then I could finally get by the "firewall tuning". Putting AVG back on now. Ain't Windows 7 great.

The next step, with great help from the Eye-Fi techies, was to restart the network, reinstall the eye-fi card, and then the pics started to upload wirelessly. Those guys at Eye-Fi are very patient and do a great job, just like the folks on TCM.
