clicking link in IE9 only opens blank page running WIN 7

Dell Inspiron N7110, i5-2410, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, IE9

Fairly new PC, but think this is a recent problem. Loaded Print Shop 3.0

and installed Canon MX410 Printer. Canon installed 3 add-ins but

Windows itself Disabled them.
