I am wondering what type of connection people use to join tv to computer. What I am thinking about doing is watching Readon player (International channel) on computer and transferring (streaming) them to my Samsung LCD HDTV. There are other software with 1000 channel which I might use to stream to TV.
1) Best solution would be to use HDMI cable. Since I am not in the same room. I would have to route the HDMI cable up the wall, down the wall (concrete block) though the wall unit. Bottom line HDMI cable wound have to be long, not the best choice.
2)Samsung LinkStick wireless LAN adapter or Rosewell RNX-NI Wireless USB dongle. I don't think this allow me to do what I planning on doing.
3)Powerline Ethernet
TP-Link TL-PA211 Kit 200Mbps Mini Powerline Ethernet Adapter
This is basically two adapter that plugs into the wall and uses Powerline as a data transfer method. I have no idea if it can carry audio. Do you need seperate Wire?
4)Have D-Link Di-524 802.11g/2.4GHz Wireless Router is this good enough or do I need a more recent router.
5)Someone on TCM pointed out they brought a unit from Costco that allowed to do what I planning on doing. It was also good for Playstation attachment. What was that unit called? Don't remember, but I assume it was wireless. The old thread is lost.
6)Should I forget about it, it's not worth it. Poor reception on tv?
Any input would be great, just doing research.
