Hi guys,

So I went to a local store here to check out the new Asus Zenbook http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Superi...ZENBOOK_UX31E/ ,11.3 inches with i5 processor, very similar to Macbook Air 11.3 inches.
I fell in love with the Zenbook at first sight, build quality, thin and light, global warranty, until I heard some cons about these ultrabooks:
every single component inside cannot be replaced in case of damage or upgraded if needed to be like normal laptops. Meaning, if something breaks i.e. SSD drive, you will need to replace the whole laptop.
Anyone who has experience with these ultrathin notebooks, are these still worth the $1000 price tag knowing that you would have to replace the whole thing eventually if something goes wrong? How are
the build quality of the components and engineering of the product?

As Alternatives I am also looking into two other normal laptops:
The Asus U31SD-DH31
13.3" HD LED
Intel i3-2310 2.1Ghz Cpu
4GB DDR3/640GB HD/Wifi-N/HDMI
nVidia Geforce GT520M 1GB
Bluetooth 3.0
All for $629+tx

The MSI X-Slim X460 DX-096US

DEDICATED nVidia Geforce GT540M 2GB
Bluetooth, etc...
All for $699+tx

The sales guy didn't favor the Zenbook due to possible problems I mentioned above, or the Asus U31SD-DH31
He was pushing the MSI one for whatever reason.
