    Angry bus monitor bullied

in that situation, if I had been armed, I don't know if I would have been able to maintain control of my rage at these punks. its too bad that the bus didn't have full hd 1080p cameras. they might have to include security guards on the bus as well.

You need to be armed to handle some middle school (grade 6-8) bullies..."tough" guys who's pinnacle of achievement is bullying a senior? I think it would have been far more fun (and legal) to have given them a dose of their own medicine and make them cry.

I think that all those kid's names should be released. I also think those kids should be expelled from school (for their entire district, so their parent's only choice is private school with a hefty tuition...or home schooling) for the next school year, receive a life time ban from using public school transportation (if that means you have to ride your bike 20 miles to school, that's your problem) and made to serve probationary work for this summer and next summer. Finally, I think they should also be forced to include a copy of this video WITHOUT their faces blurred out with every single one of their university applications.

    I hate bullies.

Especially smart ass teenagers who are showing off to their friends by picking on an old lady

Geeee I guess they think they are real tough

    NOT!!

In my day we never never dreamed of talking to older people that way.

I'll go you one further. As far a I am concerned, any kids in that end of the bus watching it all go down not "participating", but not speaking up to stop it either...they're just as bad as the ones doing the actual act and should face consequences.

My daughters are 8 years old and we have had numerous conversations about how I will never allow them to get in trouble for legitimately defending themselves or someone else (regardless of what that entails), but I also EXPECT them to stand up for others they see being bullied...even if they're scared. If that means they're no adults around (first option) and they have to "get their hands dirty", then so be it. They also know I am dead serious.

One of my favorite quotes, attributed to Edmund Burke is “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”.

This is what is wrong with today's society. Nobody else stood up and defended that lady from those morons. That lady should have slapped those lil punks into next week. I would have. Not only should those idiots be expelled from school they need to be taught a lesson in respect and common sense. I wholeheartedly agreed with that american tool who spray painted those cars, and got caned. I highly doubt he would ever pick up a spray can again. These twats need to be disciplined, and no I don't mean sent to their rooms so they can play on pc's, xboxes etc etc.

I have 3 kids(one just 3 days old) and I've had the talks with my son and step daughter about standing up for what is right. I got a call a month ago from my x wife saying my son was being suspended. I drove to the school and asked why? Some bigger kids were picking on a smaller kid and my son stopped them. One of the bigger kids pushed him, so he kicked him in the groin, grabbed the little kid and ran to a teacher. Needless to say I was super proud of my son, and the principal had a VERY hard time explaining why he should be suspended but the other 2 aren't? Well both are now expelled and my son didn't miss a day. Turns out one of the bullies is the yard teachers nephew. So that got somehow left out.

What our kids need to do is have some common sense and some respect. I seriously worry about our future generations, too much MTV and not enough common sense.

It was on the news last night the issue is now being investigated by the NY PD

If those were my kids I would have slapped them silly to but The justice system is a joke and I bet all those kids will get is a "Talking to"

I hate bullies I have no use for them online and off line

I wish more people had the guts to stand up for people who can't stand up for themselves. hats off to your son.

Horrible "progressive" parenting. You know, "they're just kids", "they're just 'expressing' themselves", "they have to be free to make their own choices", "spanking is child abuse"...that kind of stuff.

Absent parenting. "We can't survive on one income", "How dare anyone say I shouldn't work....", "my career is too important to who I am", "we don't live in the 50's anymore, being a housewife is demeaning". The end result being generations of "empowered" women but generations of parentless children (how's that for empowerment?).

How about a society that has long abandoned the simple fact that children need a BOTH a mother and a father (not two parents, a MALE and a FEMALE presence). We have reached a place where no one even bats an eye when a selfish, single woman "needs" a child, so they go out, get inseminated or find a surrogate and have a child. Never mind what it means to that child, "she has a 'right' to have a child if she wants one", "There's no reason a single woman can't raise a child alone", "We don't live in the 50's anymore....".

How about divorced "parents" who are more concerned with themselves than their kids, so they start dating again inevitably forcing their kids into a "blended" family (with a much higher chance of failure than the original, real, family)? You know, "I need to be happy too" instead of living with your failure and sucking it up and putting your kids first and raising them and when they're grown up and gone, THEN look at new relationships.

Of course, these are the same people who's children have run amuck saying "what makes kids do this stuff", probably wishing we lived in the 50's again...at least with how children behaved .
